I have known my local barber for around 25 years. I don't actually use him to cut my hair but have played tennis with him over the years and we have been quite competitive. Last week I saw him standing in his shop watching the world go by, as at that time he had no customers. I was on my way home when I decided to turn back and go to have a chat with him. We talked about his girls and my boys and spent around 20 minutes solving the worlds problems. As I was going he asked me about church! I explained to him about this amazing church I now went to in Norwich. Interestingly, he seemed to have heard of Proclaimers.

In the past 25 years he has never asked about church! This time he did.

Nothing really special here, except that just going out of my way to chat, hopefully opens up further opportunities with him.

Also, it's amazing the transformation that always seems to take place when you inconvenience yourself for another. It ends up not being an inconvenience at all!
