Baptism Service 12.30pm

We are holding a special service on 19th July in our 12.30 service. We'll be baptising people who have made recent commitments or recommitments to God as well as those who just haven't got around to it yet.

When should I be baptized?

As soon as you have believed!

There is no reason to delay. As soon as you have decided to receive Christ into your life, you can and should be baptized. If you wait until you are "perfect", you’ll never feel "good enough"!

"Those who believe...were baptized...that day!" Acts 2:41

"Then Philip began with the scripture and told him the Good N ews about Jesus. As they  traveled along the road, they came to some water, and the man said, ‘Look, here is    water! Why shouldn’t I be baptized right now?’ Philip said, ‘If you believe with all your heart, you may.’ The man answered, ‘I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.’ So they went down into the water and Philip baptized him.” Acts 8:35-38

What will happen at my baptism?

Towards the end of the service, one of the pastors will briefly explain the meaning of baptism. You will be invited onto the stage along with everyone else who is being baptized that day. The pastor will ask you a simple question about your faith to which you can answer yes to or expand upon if you like.

At the end of the service, those being baptized will wait in the lounge while your family and friends wait in the auditorium. Then you and your guests will be called down to the swimming pool in pairs, (if other family members/spouses are also being baptized, you will be called together).

Once in the water they will briefly lower you just under the water, they will then pray for you before leading you out of the water to dry off – we suggest that you ask a friend of family member to be on standby with your towel.

We encourage you to invite all your relatives and friends to attend your  baptism.
